Canada Background Checks

The country of Canada has 13 provinces and territories with a separate Registrar of Vital Statistics each from which birth, death and marriage records may be obtained. These events must have occurred in the province or territory where the request for a copy of a vital record is made. Privacy laws, fees and procedures for Canada background checks vary depending on the particular province or territory, so it’s best to contact the specific vital records department before requesting a copy of a birth, death or marriage certificate.
